Stories From the Families We Serve

We had an incredibly supportive experience working with Haven Place Doulas with Cheyenne as our doula! From our initial meeting she shared a wealth of knowledge and resources. Cheyenne was wonderful with communication throughout. We found the three prenatal visits to be very helpful as we created our birth wishes plan and found numerous ways to prepare for labor and delivery. During my labor and delivery, I could not imagine not having Cheyenne there. While we had planned for a home visit initially we knew I would have to deliver in the hospital due to medical reasons. Knowing Cheyenne would be with us regardless was very supportive. Her calming presence was grounding and she was able to support us throughout initially via text and calls and then in-person for active labor, transition and delivery. As we wrap up our post partum visits we continue to feel supported with her care. With the plan we chose we loved having a baby bump photo shoot at home, vaginal steam, belly binding and placenta encapsulation. As a woman of color, it was important to me to connect with providers of color in navigating a predominantly white medical environment. Haven Place Doulas exceeded our expectations and we highly recommend Cheyenne!
