Joanne Bell

Chief Operating Officer

Joanne Bell has worked in the private sector in senior management positions for over twenty years in for profit and nonprofit businesses. Joanne is well versed in strategic planning, project leadership, consulting, building and maintaining partnerships, fundraising, managing projects, training, improving efficiencies of operations, counseling, teaching, and team building. Joanne has collaborated with several community organizations to help advance the cause of social justice, women’s health, environmental concerns, food and housing inequities, healthcare disparities, etc. Joanne has years of experience teaching ESOL for adult learners in the USA and teaching English to orphans in Haiti via Zoom.


Joanne currently leads a team in doing missionary work in Johannesburg, South Africa. This project started in October of 2024 in collaboration with Haven Place Doulas. Together, they traveled to Johannesburg, South Africa, distributed mini pregnancy bags to underprivileged families in the community and surrounding areas, and gave out toys to a local orphanage. Joanne is an active member in her local community, but mostly enjoys spending time with her family and friends. Joanne has strong faith in God and commits her talent, time, and resources to giving back to others. Joanne holds a Master’s Degree in Education with a concentration in Mental Health Counseling and a Bachelor of Arts in
English with a concentration in Rhetoric & Composition.

Joanne is an entrepreneur, author, consultant, motivational speaker, counselor, trainer, teacher, mentor, and devout Christian. Joanne is most proud of her family. Her greatest achievements are her 5 children: Cheyenne, Jasmine, Kiarra, Isaiah, and Grace
